Thailand Education Visa Non-Immigrant ED Visa

  • Valid passport with 6 months of validity or more
  • Correctly filled out (Non-ED) visa application

  • Proof of sufficient financial support and means to cover your stay

The Process to Apply for an Education Visa:

First, apply for the specified visa and complete your application at a Consulate or Thai Embassy or Consulate outside the nation or in your mother country.

Please Note:  Applicants and citizens from the Middle East, Bangladesh, China, India, Iran and Sri-Lanka must apply for the Non-ED visa from their home nations.

Reporting every 90 days:

Non-Immigrant ED Holders

The visa holders are required to report every 90 days to the Thai immigration office in person, by power of attorney or by mail. Please Note: One of the three options given. If you are outside in Thailand on the date your 90-day reporting is due, you do not need to report your status. Your 90-day reporting will begin again from the day you re-enter Thailand.

Re-Entry Requirements and Fees:

The applicant is required to get a re-entry permit first if planning on exiting the nation in order to NOT lose your visa validity.  Furthermore, the fee for the permit is THB 1000 for a single re-entry and THB 3,800 for a multiple re-entry permit. You can obtain the permits at any international airport in the nation or a Thai Immigration Office.
